Here’s a throwback review of one of our old Soul Flower body care favorites, the Happy Hippie Head to Toe Shampoo Bar by Heart of Iowa Handmade Soaps. Thanks to Cam and her son Dylan for putting this sudsy, patchouli-scented bar to the test!

With a family always on the go, Cam loved the idea of having one simple bar that could be used from head to toe. When she first opened the Happy Hippie bar, she noticed its light patchouli scent filling the bathroom and was excited to give it a try.

Cam was a little hesitant about using a shampoo bar on her naturally curly, tangle-prone hair. She had tried other shampoo bars in the past that left her hair feeling dry, so she wasn’t sure what to expect.

Her verdict? The Happy Hippie bar lathered nicely, cleaned her hair without leaving it feeling stripped and left behind just a light scent. The rest of the family quickly became fans too, especially because of the convenience of using one bar for both hair and body.

She also loved the idea of packing one bar for summer travels instead of bringing separate bottles of shampoo and body wash. Simple, compact and easy to toss in a travel bag.

Happy Hippie may be part of Soul Flower history now, but we still love looking back at the products, people and stories that have been part of our journey over the years.
