Karma Krewe Introductions: Meet Cam

We are excited to have Cam involved in our Karma Krewe, reviewing products & helping to spread the word about Soul-Flower.com. We love that she just got a vintage VW bus – the perfect vehicle to journey wildly with her family & friends.

Hey Buds! I’m Cam, and I live & love with my free-spirited family in coastal Georgia. I’m a thirty year old un/homeschooling mama. I enjoy spending my time hanging out at the beach, and walking softly on this earth. I believe in Mother Nature’s ability to sustain and nourish us with anything we need in this life.

I have a natural tendency to see the humor in any situation and I try to spread that vibe around. I try to live simpler, happier. I just bought a vintage VW bus, and cannot wait to get it on the road to a few festivals!

Karma Krewe: meet Trish B

Trish says “I am not a big blogger but I’m a talker” and a traveler and a music lover. Seems like the perfect combination, doesn’t it! Trish will be writing a bit but also will be hitting the streets, literally pounding the pavement at shows to help spead the Soul Flower vibe.

Hey there, My name is Trish. I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico with my husband, daughter, and many pets. My husband and I see over 100 shows a year and live for live music. I work for numerous promoters and enjoy sharing my passion for live music with my daughter and everyone else I meet. I also love hanging with my family, reading, sewing, beading, and traveling.

My favorite band: right now is Monsters of Folk
My favorite soul-flower find: is to hard to narrow down…I’ve ordered numerous skirts and love them all. I especially love the patchwork!

We first met Maggie when she asked to review our products on her cool blog a while back. Then when we saw little Dexter, we fell in love – who could be cuter in little Soul-Flower clothes? Here is our earth-loving-mama, Maggie:

Hello fellow buds! My name is Maggie Smith and I am the mastermind behind Dexter’s Super Savvy Mommy. I am 28 years old and I live in Northern Michigan with my husband and almost-2 year old son Dexter. We are a water-loving family and can be seen on our boat almost all summer long. I believe in protecting Mother Earth as much as possible for future generations. That is why I reduce, reuse and recycle ALL THE TIME! I work online writing my blog and working for EcoStore USA.

Meet Lourenda of the Soul-Flower.com Karma Krewe

When we created the Karma Krewe, Lourenda, aka LouDog, was at the top of our list of customers we should ask to be on our street team – she has been buying from us for years, and probably more kind threads than any other customer. And not just that, she calls & emails us with positive messages all the time. Thanks for that LouDog! Here she is:

My name is Lourenda C. I was born and raised in St.Pete, FL. I currently live in Clarksville, TN, because i was stationed here due to the Army. My husband and I will be returning to St.Pete this year.

I was recently medically retired, so i spend most of my days on the computer, painting, crocheting, beading, and planning ahead for future shows and festivals. My favorite things to do other than spending time with my husband and animals, and listening to music, is being on the road, meeting new interesting, colorful people at shows and festivals.

My Favorite Vacation EVER: When i came home from Iraq for some r and r. I hadn’t seen my family for 8 months and i was able to come to the states for 15 days before i was to return.
My Favorite live show EVER: I got to see Allman Brothers Band, at the Wanee River Music festival, in live oak Florida! Awesome!!!! The best ever!!

Meet Kristen of the Karma Krewe!

Throughout the next few weeks, we will be introducing you to the group of buds that make up our street team, the karma krewe. The Karma Krewe works hard to create a buzz online and offline about our little boutique catalog & internet shop. We had dozens of applications for this team & we really wish we could have chose every one. Thanks bus for applying! We feel in the end that we chose a great representation of our customers – here is our first introduction – Kristen H….she will be contributing to our blog soon!

Hey Buds, Kristen here. I’m from the Chicago-land area but currently reside in Iowa City and absolutely love it. I go to school at the University of Iowa and am a theater major. I also work for a production company on campus called SCOPE Productions where I book, promote and produce live concerts (the best one was probably the Bob Dylan/ Elvis Costello show, it was crazy being around those legends!)

Our 2010 Karma Krewe

**UPDATE** thanks so much to everyone who applied to the Karma Krewe! Applications are closed now (Jan 22, 2010) & we will be announcing our first ever street team next week. Can hardly wait for you all to meet the most awesome customers in the whole world. And don’t worry if you missed your chance – this is an ongoing group & we will be adding members down the road.
