Every now and then we all get caught up in believing that the adventure is “out there,” while ignoring the fact that the real adventure is now. Without knowing the future, we can never be quite sure of what is around the corner, making every day an entertaining improv adventure.
Even trudging our common path (to work & home & back again) can often times lead to the wonderfully unexpected. Perhaps not every adventure is as thrilling as the books and movies have made them out to be, but the day-to-day adventure can be just as enthralling…if we let it be.
And when we get lost in those wandering ruts of boredom, where we completely disagree that the adventure is unfolding in front of our very eyes, maybe we need to more deeply ask ourselves what we need to change to make the adventure now.
Inspire yourself, if nothing else will.
