The first thing that attracted me to yoga was a handstand. Call it shallow, but all I saw was effortless strength and grace. From that moment forward I practiced every, single day. Falling, sweating and failing forward. About half way through my inversion journey I realized yoga was all about body awareness and connecting your breath with your movements. I stopped focusing on being able to hold a handstand, and instead turned to the basics. Rooting myself through sun salutations and warrior poses. When I came back to handstand I didn’t have an end goal or an ultimatum. I genuinely enjoyed the process and let the rest come in time. 🌻 I’ve paired up with the lovely Soul Flower Clothing for this post.     When asked this question I usually say Wild Thing or Camatkarasana or flip the dog! How can I not smile when the song “Wild Thing” is going through my head every time I flip over! And Yes, it does make my heart sing and make everything groovy!

    My favorite yoga pose is Dancer Pose. It is the perfect combination of strength and beauty. I always feel like a marble statue of a ballerina when i do it. It is incredibly empowering. And i would look great wearing those leggings!!!

    My favourite pose is Dancer. It bring me back to my roots as a competitive dancer growing up. I always feel power and strength in this pose. Thank you for the opportunity to win!

    My favorite pose right now is seated spinal twist because it feels like the perfect kind of “reset” for my back after biking and sitting at my desk at work all day!

    My Favorite pose now and forever seems to be Janushirasana (head to knee pose), Because I find it brings me infinite peace, length and grounding – body & mind. Who wouldn’t love to feel that!!!

    I love baddha konasana! It seems like such a simple pose, but it offers so many fabulous things. When I practice baddha konasana, I feel grounded and supported. I can open my hips and let out all sorts of emotional tension. I can find length in my spine. And I can fold forward to release and relax. It’s wonderful!

    Currently I’m loving setubhandasana or baby bridge. I like all the heart opening with less effort in the legs compared to urdva dhanurasana or wheel. I feel se much space created in my heart when holding this one, I begin to feel my inner light shine out! A nice grounding child’s lose afterwards is the cherry on top! 🙂

    Simple cross legged sitting pose is my favorite for grounding and meditation at the beginning or end of practice these days.

    My favorite pose is warrior two! I love it because that is it is the pose in which I feel the most strong. It brings out my inner strength an I feel like I can conquer the world!

    My favorite yoga pose is Savanasa (corpse pose).
    It is a reminder to ground, reconnect with the breath and to shift my thoughts to the present moment.

    I like cobra pose. I love how it feels opening my chest and stretching my back since I’ve got such bad posture.

    Right now my favorite pose is crow because it challenges all areas of the body like no other. Finding a counter balance, tightening the core, straightening the arms, squeezing your entire body. It’s certainly a feat!

    My favorite yoga pose right now is Hanumanasana (front splits). I spent years of my childhood begging my mom for gymnastics lessons and watching the Olympic events. I never thought I’d have the flexibility to do the splits but after a few months of patient stretching I finally am able to do it. It may be simple but it will forever remind me how far I’ve come.

    My favorite yoga pose is actually a set of yoga poses: downward dog into royal pigeon pose. It’s my favorite because it was very hard for me to do at first. I am pigeon toed and my hips were stiff. The fact that it gets easier everyday reminds me that life is a journey, not a destination.

    I am not advanced enough to do a handstand, but I do love cat/cow pose – I have some chronic health issues and it helps me with my back pain and overall helps my core feel better.

    I very much relate to what Morgan posted. I started yoga because I was told it *might* help the debilitating migraines I had begun to suffer with in the last year. I was also now forbidden from my normal forms of exercise. So I met the yoga studio with trepidation, with perhaps an agenda, with maybe grumpiness that it wasn’t something else, and, if I’m honest, fear that I wasn’t good enough, thin enough and bendy enough to do yoga. So, I’ve found my peace, practice and happiness in Humble Warrior. Not because I can ‘do’ it physically, but because I can be it mentally to and I can feel like yoga is actually my place. And, perhaps that yoga was a gift, not a compromise or a cure or something else.

    Today, my favorite pose is “child’s pose”. My most recent yoga instructor told the class, “If you just can’t do anything else right now, go into child’s pose. Relax. Breathe. Try more later… or another day.” I’ll try more tomorrow. Today is a day for my inner-child to relax.

    I don’t know about favorite pose ever, but one I love to hang out in is reclined twists. For challenges I’m into wheel pose these days !!

      Meant to add that I just love child’s pose no matter what else I learn. It is calming and it always reminds me to breathe deeply. My 4 kids like downward dog the best though 😉

    I love Dancer pose, I found it very difficult at first to balance but I kept trying and now I can do it. It’s really graceful and very relaxing.

    My absolute favorite pose is astavakrasana; the strength and beauty of the pose instantly drew me in. My first attempt I needed up in my face! This repeated for the next several times. Over time I became more-and-more discouraged and felt like giving up completely. Then, I began to look at the technique I had been using to get into the pose. After working on several hand hold sand my technique, I finally got the pose down!!! This pose holds a special place in my heart because of the amount of work I put into it. Thank you Morgan, your strength and grace inspires me to push myself every day.

    Supta Baddha Konasana, or supported bound angle pose, is currently my favorite place to reside. There is something about feeling the whole foot connect with the other in complete balance. I just sink into it. Heels press, sides of the feet press, balls of the feet and each toe… All press. The connection aligns your entire body. The breath and energy flow from your fingertips. You’re knees gently fall. I love it. I love my practice. I love our practice and I really dig these pants. Namaste everyone! ॐ

    My favorite pose is warrior III. This pose combines strength, flexibility, balance and focus. It’s such a calming pose and reminds me to stay centered.

    My favorite poses are usually pigeon, wheel, lotus, dancer and tree pose. Pigeon just feels amazing on my hips and rump. Wheel is such a strong pose and feels great! Lotus makes me feel like a little kid again. And well everyone needs a good balance pose so I picked 2 of my favorites!!! Here’s to the WIN!!!!
